Render
As caretaker of Render’s database, Lizhi led investigations into complex scaling issues where the cause sat far below the surface. (She never thought she’d have to read Postgres source code. She hopes to never do it again.) She kept the database healthy as the company scaled into new, fun problems.
Figma
As an early employee of Figma, Lizhi wore many hats: deploys, search, and containers (oh my!). She got to grow with Figma and uncover best practices in real time at each stage of the company's growth.
Lizhi enjoys a good mess. She likes digging into code, breaking a problem into its building blocks, and taking bets on what will break at scale.
