What is The General Podcast?

We flirted with the idea of a podcast for a long time. Like many VC firms, we tried the usual route: partner interviews a founder. It never felt quite right. So we shelved it and kept iterating.

What finally clicked was this: the best conversations we hear don’t usually happen on panels or in interviews. They happen between peers, inside companies and often behind closed doors. They happen between people working on similar problems, sometimes at the same time. Or between people who’ve shared the same experiences, sometimes over the course of entire careers.

So we built a show around that.

The General Podcast is a ‘hostless’ show that pairs founders, executives, operators, and creative minds together for honest, behind-the-scenes conversations about building.
